Picadilly Circus is London's equivalent of New York's Times Square. This is where all the clubs restaraunts, etc. can be found. Here and Leicester (pronounced Lester) Square are where we spent most of our time in the evenings.

This is the top of a monument in front of Buckingham Palace. (See next picture)

Buckingham Palace from a distance, walking along the mall. The mall is similar to the Mall in Washington DC, if you've ever been there.

[Right] Palace Guard at Buckingham Palace. But I thought their tunics were red!! Ah, the red is used during the summer months, the gray is used the rest of the year.

[Left] I'm about the only one that thinks this is cool, but I'm a geek. Most of the street lights in London are still gas lit. It's kind of cool, at dusk you hear this click click click sound (the igniter) and the lamps all of a sudden light.
[Right] This is the front (side?) of Westminster Abbey. Too bad they don't allow you to take pictures inside.
