Two in a row!
Here we are again, 2nd day in a row . . . what is it like 21 days to make a habit? 19 to go.D: Yesterday was a good day. I got through some more stuff at work and caught up with more people. I had another showing appointment and it went well. It's always good to get out with your clients and find out their likes and dislikes. Its tough for me though when I know that their criteria and price range are not going to yield a lot of homes for them to look at. When you actually do find ONE they are interested in seeing and you know there's not much possibliity of finding one better, it's hard for me to not say "You should really snap this one up because it's about as good as it gets" but I don't want to be the pushy salesman. So that's something I struggle with from time to time. I also spent some time researching other blogging programs and came across this beauty that you're viewing now. It's called Nucleus. It's very dynamic and highly extensible. The previous program recommended was Blogger and it was fine for most things, but it wasn't EXACTLY what I wanted, but this is awesome. I can now break my thoughts, exercise, and food into seperate categories. Much better. I took my truck in for it's 30K tune up yesterday as well. Man 30K in 14 months is a LOT of driving. I also had a client come by the office later in the evening. This was a client I've been working with for no kidding over a year. I thought I'd never see the day that they would actually write an offer on a home. Just goes to show you that you never can tell. If you put the time in and build that relationship with someone, good things will come to light. I'll hopefully be listing their home as well in a few months. After faxing off the offer, I headed over to my friend David's home to give him a little gift card for helping me install my can lights a couple weeks ago. I got to play a hand of UNO with my god daughter too, which was utterly delightful. She really is a gem. And a pretty dang good UNO player too. She served up two draw fours on me in a row!! When I got home, I spent some time with Teri in front of the boob tube and retired to the bath to read again around 10:30. Didn't get much reading done though, fell asleep and woke up around 11:30. Oops. Guess I was a bit tired.
T: Well, my thoughts today were a bit scatter brained. Didn't have a good plan for the day, so I was just floundering. But it all worked out OK.
F: Felt good, hating that I have to write NONE in my Exercise journal again today.

None (thought about golf a lot though) Did play 9 holes on Sunday.Here we go . . .
OK, being the seminar junkie that I am, I attended Brian Buffini's Mastermind summit last week in San Diego. Brian had a number of great speakers including Lou Tice of the Pacific institute and Lou Holtz, former coach of the Notre Dame football team. It was a GREAT conference and one thing that came out of it for me was the need to journal. I certainly type faster than I write, so being the geek I am, I figured blogging was as good a journaling. Part of doing this will be getting my ass into the gym and keeping track of what I eat and how much I exercise. So the blogs in the general section will always start with the D (What I did), T (What I thought), and F (What I felt). Then you can see the sections to the right for Exercise and Food to keep track of what I'm doing and eating. You can skip reading those sections. They are likely to be pretty nasty to start with. :-) OK, lets get started . . .D=Yesterday was my first day back from a long, well deserved vacation. As such, being self employed I had a lot of catching up with clients to do when I got back. So I spent most of the day on the phone (happy Linda?) calling clients and checking in with them. Also knowing that I had to start Journaling, I needed to find a blog and fast. (Thanks SS) This is not my ideal blog program, DasBlog has everything I want but I don't think I have the permissions to install it at my hosting provider so this with the codes will have to do for now. I was successful in contacting a number of my potential buyer clients and set up a showing appointment for last night and another for this afternoon. I also left a message for an attorney to get my will drafted. Hoping to get a call back from him today to get that started. Had a nice long conversation with my co-worker Danielle about Mastermind and life in general. I hope I was somewhat helpful. When I got home Teri had a nice dinner prepared for me and we vegged out on the couch cleaning up the TiVo from our vacation. I took a bath to read Zig Ziglars book (which I picked up at Mastermind) "Secrets of Closing" and went to bed around midnight.
T=These sections are going to be pretty sparse until I get the hang of this. Didn't really think much yesterday. Was happy to be back to work and glad to see my clients were happy to have me back too.
F=Happy.
