I don't get it . . .

So yesterday I broke two of the seven deadly sins. I was a glutton and a sloth. I absolutely pigged out for dinner and I did nothing but sit on my Hurlbut yesterday. I lost a pound and a half. This morning I wanted to see how much damage I did with my dinner last night so I stepped on the scale. It read 300.5. I checked it again, same result. I don't understand it. I should have gained a couple pounds at least. I won't even tell you what I ate for dinner, but I'll just say that this morning I was feeling ill from the amount of food that I ate. It was disgusting. I'm happy about the 1.5 pounds, but I really don't get it.

I’m kind of seeing the same thing. I took it easy this week on workouts (Monday-Wednesday) and broke the 360s. I hit 354.1 which is 41.1 pounds lost this year. I have been working my butt off for the last 6 weeks and couldn’t break the 360 mark. I took it easy, ate a little more and then BANG, the weight dropped. I worked out yesterday and gained 2.4 pounds.

I THINK (I know scary thought) that our bodies aren’t use to working out like we have been for the past few months. So it’s holding on to as much fat as it can, and when we relax, the body feels better and just let’s some fat go. But that is just what I think.

At one point someone told me that you are either losing weight or losing inches, and that it’s hard to do both at the same time. I’m not sure if I agree with this, but I’ll take it. I know my workouts and new eating habits are better for me. While I might not see the changes in the scale, I know I am getting healthier.

Hang in there buddy!!! We are changing our lives for a better, healthier future.
