Day 4 GymHere it is Thursday and I've just completed my 5th workout this week. I know I'm getting somewhat tired, but I also know that's just partly me getting back into the routine. A couple weeks of this and I won't even feel it any more. It'll just be what I do. I just have to get past that point a few weeks/months from now where I feel it's good enough. But I'll cross that bridge when I come to it.
So this morning I got on the Stair Machine From Hell (SMFH) and started out at level 5. I set the machine for 30 minutes. I think my previous best was 99 floors in 30 minutes. I wanted to break that, so at 10 minutes in, I increased the level to 6 for 5 minutes and alternated Level 6 and 5 on 5 minute intervals. At the end, I had climbed 2.15 miles, 103 floors, and had burned nearly 500 calories. It actually felt really good. My arms are starting to get sore from yesterday's lifting. I'm hoping to lift again tomorrow, but I suppose that'll depend on how sore I am then.
After the SMFH, I did a couple laps on the track (1/3 mile) walking to cool down. Then I did 100 crunches.
Not a record workout by any means, but a good one none the less.
