So I'll start by talking about my coaching call on Thursday. It sucked. I pay a fair amount of money each month to be coached and I want my coaching calls to be uplifting and energizing and this call was anything BUT that. It just seemed as though we covered the exact same stuff we covered in our previous call. To me it felt like my coach either A) wasn't paying attention last time, or B) has not yet taken a REAL interest in coaching me. Either way, it wasn't good. In fact it was so NOT good that I e-mailed my coach to tell her how disappointed I was and that if we cannot get past some of these issues, either it's time for me to discontinue coaching, or find another coach. I hope she realized how serious I was. She e-mailed a quick reply with a thank you for the honesty and promised to write a more lengthy reply later when she had time OR even squeeze in another coaching call if she had time. I'm getting the idea that maybe her plate is a little full. So we'll see if I get the expanded note.

I had another coke yesterday. That's two for the month of March. This one was in a can and tasted much better than the JITB coke. But I'm back on the water wagon as of late yesterday. I stopped at Safeway today and picked up 4 cases of water to stock Pennington and home, so I'm not looking for something to drink. I can just pick up a bottle. I am concerned why the ingredients of the Safeway Refreshe brand of water include sodium bicarbonate and calcium chloride though. Shouldn't it just be plain ol' purified water? More research to come on this.

Traffic has been picking up in Yelm, so it's nice to be at the model home and actually see people during the day. I think I saw 2 or 3 couples on Thursday, a couple more yesterday and it's been pretty steady today with 4 or 5 already. It would sure be nice if Yelm would allow us to put out signs on the weekdays. One thing that bugs me, and I'm sure it's just a perception thing and nothing I can do anything about, is the way people look at Guest Registers. Now before I was a Realtor, I very rarely signed a guest register at a model home because I was not really serious about buying a home. If the homes were nice and something I would maybe later want to buy, I would sign the guest register. So today I had a VERY nice couple come through. I showed them the model home, pointing out all the standard and upgraded features. I pulled out the full set of plans so they could see the dimensions of the rooms. We walked the plat and I showed them other home sites the model plan would be built on. I also showed them another plan that I thought they may like. They are going to buy a home in the next week or so, guarantee it. The husband stated "We basically kicked our agent to the curb because they weren't showing us what we wanted to see". Then as we're walking around the plat, the wife mentions that they have a meeting with another Realtor tomorrow and asks if that's a problem. I say "No problem at all! We're totally cooperative out here with outside agents. Of course I'd love to earn your business, but if you have a previous relationship, it's no big deal at all." #1, they don't even know this agents name. #2 they have never met them before. So I don't think there is a real solid relationship there. As we're wandering back to the model, I ask if they would mind signing the guest register when we get there. The husband says "Sure! No problem John" but the wife hesitates and says "Umm, I'd rather not." I reply "No problem, but the worst thing that will happen is that you'll get a thank you card from me". She says "Well our agent (the one they never met) said she wouldn't get paid a commission if we signed one" . . . "Well that may be true at other sites" I reply "But not here. We're totally cooperative with outside agents, I guarantee that if you use the other agent, she'll get paid" So we come back and she grudgingly fills out the register. The husband looks at it after she leaves and says "She used her Mom's name, address and phone number. Why would she do that?" I replied "She's worried about the commission thing, it's no big deal. Really I'd love to earn your business, but if you end up working with that other agent, that's completely fine too." "Well John, I'll call you and then you'll have MY cell number at least. I really appreciate your time today" So who knows what'll happen. So here's my beef. Their other agent is lazy. She'll end up writing the home up here and will NEVER, not ONCE visit the plat. Her clients will come to me with all kinds of questions, which I'll be happy to answer and she'll get paid for the transaction that really I facilitated. I took them through the homes, made suggestions, etc. And I'll be here 4 days a week and they'll stop by. It's happened to me at least 1/2 a dozen times out here. It's frustrating to say the least.

I finished "The Abs Diet" and I'm not sure what I'm going to do with it now. The plan to me is somewhat a pain in the butt. Eating 6 times a day. And the smoothies aren't my bag. At least the one I tried. So I've got to buckle down and see if I can make it work for me. It seems like a sound plan, but I just have to figure out how to fit it into my lifestyle. But I gotta do something to get this weight off.

Tomorrow Teri and I are moving our stuff from storage to the garage. I hope Teri follows through on her promise of going through it quickly so we can call PODS and have the stuff we're keeping taken away again. The electrical is finised in our new home and the electricians did a KICK ASS job. But damn it's moving so quickly I can't even believe how fast it's going. The siding should be complete today or Monday. Then insulation and sheetrock. EEKS! SO MUCH TO DO! I'm still stressed. We did pick out our lights on Thursday, so that was cool. I'm really excited to see the finished product. I'm taking my buddy Ken out to the site on Monday and see if he wants to be my next door neighbor. I'm hoping so. He's a good guy and we don't get to hang out much. And it would be cool seeing his kids grow up too.

Anyway, I'm done for now . . . see you next week! Enjoy your weekend!
